The drive

Narbonne and Carcassonne are linked by the A61, the Autoroute des Deux-Mers, which follows the natural corridor between the Montagne Noire and the Corbières. Salvaza airport is west of Carcassonne, on the route de Montréal, so arriving from the east there is no need to cross the town.

Forty-five minutes for 64 kilometres, and one of the pleasanter drives in the region: the Canal du Midi runs alongside the motorway in places, and the Cité comes into view on the right as you approach Carcassonne.

The airport

Carcassonne is a Ryanair airport with around ten European destinations: London Stansted, Manchester, East Midlands, Bournemouth, Dublin, Cork, Brussels Charleroi, Porto, Cagliari and Tangier.

Those British and Irish links make it the main gateway for English-speaking visitors to Cathar country. Many land at Carcassonne but are actually staying near Narbonne, Gruissan or in the Corbières — that inbound transfer is our bread and butter.

How the pick-up works

Outbound, we collect you at your address and drop you in front of the terminal. Inbound, we meet you in the baggage hall, working from the flight number you gave us.

If your stay begins with a visit to the Cité, we can build in a stop: hourly hire is €60 an hour and is booked at the same time as the transfer.

125 €Fixed price for the journey, up to four passengers with their luggage. No baggage surcharge, no traffic supplement. Payment by card, cash or bank transfer; invoicing available for business clients.
